• $20,000 – For Geraldton Theatre Production, City of Greater Geraldton
The Midwest will enjoy a boost following the announcement of a successful project under the Building Better Regions Fund – Community Investment stream.
Federal Member for Durack Melissa Price said the community-based project, a theatre production, is a positive investment in the region’s future.
“This is a great outcome for the Midwest, with the City of Greater Geraldton receiving $20,000 to develop a theatre production to support community arts, and be inspired by the stories of local people and the diversity of living in the region.”
The Building Better Regions Fund continues to deliver major benefits for rural, regional and remote communities throughout Australia.
Ms Price said the Community Investment stream of the Building Better Regions Fund is another part of the Federal Government's plan for regional Australia.
"It supports community activities from expanded local events and strategic planning to improving leadership and capability,” she said.
“Under round two, the Federal Government is investing more than $4 million in over 100 Community Investment stream projects across Australia valued at over $7.3 million.
“This is another great outcome delivered for regional Australia."
