New Grants for Stronger Communities Projects

Federal Member for Durack, Melissa Price invites community organisations to submit an application for a local infrastructure project.
Ms Price said the grants programme will deliver $150,000 to fund up to 20 local small capital projects in Durack as part of a $22.65 million investment nationwide under Round 5 of the Stronger Communities Programme.
"These investments in vital local infrastructure for the people of Durack are the sorts of projects that bring our communities together, strengthen social connections, build community participation and create vibrant and viable communities into the future," Ms Price said.
Eligible applicants can apply for funding from $2,500 up to a maximum $20,000 that demonstrate social benefits and improve community participation and enjoyment.
The Stronger Communities Program will fund up to 50 percent of the project expenditure with applicants required to source other funding that can include in-kind contributions.
"I encourage community organisations to apply for funding for projects that will strengthen community participation and cohesion," she said.

EOI Applications will close on Friday 6th of September 2019.
This EOI will be considered by the Community Consultative Committee.
Successful applications will then be invited to submit a formal submission to the Department of Infrastructure , Transport and Regional Development.
