Liberals focus on regional issues
September 28, 2017
THE Liberal Party of WA put on a show of force at the Dowerin GWN7 Machinery Field Days.
Geraldton MLA Ian Blayney said he made the trip to Dowerin because he enjoyed the Field Days and the event was a great way to keep in touch with the community.
He said meeting new people gave him information about the issues that mattered most to the electorate.
Mr Blayney was accompanied by federal Durack MP Melissa Price, WA Liberal leader Mike Nahan and the Vasse MP Libby Mettam.
Ms Mettam said she was looking forward to the expansion of the Busselton-Margaret River Airport, which was being upgraded at a cost of more than $60 million to facilitate direct flights from Melbourne, Sydney, Denpasar and Singapore.
It would allow for two additional helipads, she said.
Ms Mettam said the project was a welcome investment in the region and would help connect the South-West to the rest of the world.
