May 5, 2019
Four Wheatbelt organisations have been awarded more than $13,000 to help assist and benefit local volunteers.
Durack MP Melissa Price welcomed the government's funding for the Volunteer Grants 2019.
"Around 5,000 community organisations around the nation will benefit from this funding, supporting more than 280,000 volunteers," she said.
"I am pleased that 36 Durack organisations have been successful with a total of $145,690 under these Volunteer Grants."
Dowerin St John Ambulance Sub Centre volunteers will be given a team networking and debriefing space thanks to the grant.
The Goomalling Bowling Club secured $1500 in funds to purchase a lap top to centralise the club's information, removing the need for volunteers to use their own devices.
Other Wheatbelt winners were the Moore Catchment Council and Narembeen St John Ambulance Sub Centre.
