Meet Melissa
Melissa was first elected to Parliament as the Member for Durack, the largest electorate in Australia, in 2013. Born and raised in the remote gold mining town of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, she relished the opportunity to represent the diverse interests of a rural electorate that covers approximately half of the state of Western Australia.
Maiden Speech
I am an ordinary person now with an extraordinary job. I have the job of representing the people of Durack. This is a huge responsibility and one that I do not take lightly. I am very humbled to have been entrusted by the people of Durack to be their representative.
