Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II left so many fond memories for us during her 96 years. It is difficult to find someone who wasn't touched by her humanity or knew of her kindness.
The Queen made several visits to regional Western Australia during her 70-year reign. This includes towns in my electorate of Durack, such as Kununurra, Broome, Geraldton, Northam and many more.
Over the past few weeks there have been many people reaching out to my offices in Broome and Geraldton to send their condolences and to share personal stories.
It was my privilege today to recount some of these memories and stories shared by you during a condolence motion in Parliament.
